Upon entering Blyth Valley Business Park, visitors are greeted by a stunning stepped waterfall in front of a single jet fountain. This grand entrance sets a high standard for the business park and surrounding companies, creating an atmosphere of exclusivity with this water feature acting as the focal point.
What services did we provide?
Pond relining and pump replacement
We were first contacted due to a couple of issues: the original pump had failed and there was significant water loss. After an onsite consultation and further investigation, we were contracted to re-line the feature and replace the existing pump.
At Perfect Ponds and Koi, we take pride in using high-quality, state-of-the-art equipment. We not only evaluate the capabilities of the equipment but also consider long-term implications such as energy consumption, benefiting our customers both economically and environmentally.
We replaced two large, outdated pumps that consumed approximately 3 kW with two Oase fountain pumps that use less than half that energy—just 800 W combined.
We also undertook the challenging task of changing both liners, which was logistically complicated due to the commercial feature's location in the middle of a highway island. This required careful planning to ensure that equipment and tools could not be left overnight and that traffic could continue to flow freely through the business park.
After completing the re-lining, we dressed the pond with boulders and cobbles to soften its appearance.
