When it comes to stunning Nishikigoi, they don't come much more stand-out than this absolutely gorgeous Doitsu Showa from the Japanese breeder Kase at Koshiji Koi Farm. Kase is well known for breeding new varieties and tends to specialise in superb Showa and Goshiki and the rarer doitsu varieties.
This particular fish really has a beautiful, balanced pattern and great body development. There is a lot of sumi still to come out, and the head will colour up as the fish develops. It's eating and growing really well, and offers exciting prospects for the future in terms of growth and beauty!
